When you request a free homepage preview or a free website check — on this site or through one of our adverts (including Facebook/Instagram lead forms) — we collect what you give us: your name, business name, trade, town, phone number and email address, plus your website address if you share it.
If you've asked for a website check, we also look at publicly available information about your business — your website and your public Google Business Profile listing — to prepare your results.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are consent (you asked us to contact you) and legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry and running our business). We do not sell your data. Ever.
Form submissions are delivered to us by Web3Forms. Our website is hosted by Netlify. If we email you, we may use Resend or MailerLite. If ads brought you here, Meta and Google process ad-measurement data as described below. Each of these providers acts under their own privacy terms and appropriate safeguards.
We only set advertising cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads tag) if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. These help us know which adverts led to enquiries. Choose "Essential only" and we set none of them — the site works exactly the same. You can clear your browser data at any time to reset your choice.
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up sensibly, then deleted. Customer data is kept for as long as you're a customer plus what tax law requires.
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, delete, or stop using your data — email jamie@tradesitehq.com and it's done, usually the same day. Reply "no thanks" to any message and you'll never hear from us again. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you think we've got something wrong.
